Sydney Badge 2006

The 2026 Sydney Badge competition is set to follow a clearly defined timeline, beginning with team registrations and culminating in finals in September. The process is structured to support smooth operations for both the Thursday Ladies and Saturday Badge competitions, with a focus on adequate time for grading, draw adjustments, and fixture release.

Key Administrative Dates

  • Team Entries Open: Tuesday, 10 February 2026

  • Team Entries Close: Tuesday, 17 March 2026

  • Tennis NSW Pre-Grading Period: 23–27 March 2026

  • Grading Events:

    • Women: Tuesday, 31 March

    • Men: Wednesday, 1 April

  • Grading Released: Thursday, 2 April

  • Draw Released (Initial): Friday, 10 April

  • Draw Change Requests Close: Wednesday, 15 April

  • Final Draw Published: Tuesday, 21 April

Competition Commences

  • Thursday Ladies Badge: Starts Thursday, 30 April 2026

  • Saturday Badge: Starts Saturday, 2 May 2026

Season Structure

Saturday Badge Schedule

  • Rounds: 14 rounds from 2 May to 29 August

  • Breaks:

    • June Long Weekend: 1 week break after Round 5

    • July School Holidays: 3-week hiatus after Round 8

  • Finals:

    • Semi-Finals: Saturday, 5 September

    • Finals: Saturday, 12 September

    • Spare Day: Saturday, 19 September

Thursday Ladies Badge Schedule

  • Commences 30 April and follows a similar round structure with aligned breaks and finals.
